We were tasked by the marketing team at Riva Blu Restaurant & Bar with generating awareness amongst consumers and driving positive media coverage around their ‘aperitivo’ summer revival campaign, across each of their four city restaurants.
Increase bookings, footfall, and therefore boost revenue across all four Riva Blu sites.
Spread the message, and key USPs of the restaurant through coverage in consumer titles across Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Birmingham.
Adding value to the brand, supporting its position in the market as a recognisable, vibrant and fun Italian restaurant serving authentic flavours and delivering great service.
Support social media, digital and influencer campaigns as part of a wider project.
At the start of the project, we recognised the importance of creating and developing a story that would grab the attention of journalists and media. We liaised with the client marketing team, putting forward ideas and recommendations to gain traction and stand out from the crowd.
We then crafted and distributed a unique press release for journalists in each city, as well as sending out personalised postcards, to invite them to review Riva Blu’s refreshed menu. We also explored paid partnership opportunities for a social media competition giveaway, with media partners in each city.

We generated more than 22 online articles and 26 pieces of coverage, including Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, Leeds Live, and Birmingham Live. This equated to 755.3k coverage views and 45.4 million opportunities to be seen. We also secured excellent press feedback, which Riva Blu were very happy with!
